GIORGIO MORODER: The Chase (Flashback)
Posted: October 19th, 2009 | Author: Matt | Filed under: Uncategorized | Tags: 70's, Disco, Giorgio Moroder | View CommentsI saw Midnight Express in the late 70’s, and bought the soundtrack Midnight Express which was incredible. After watching the film I knew i’d never be able to smuggle anything across the turkish border again!
You have to see this movie with score by GIORGIO MORODER. He is a three-time Oscar winning Italian record producer, song writer and performer. He was ahead of his time with the use of synthesizers in the 70’s and 80’s. I think Giorgio had a great influence on new wave, house techno and electronic music. He worked with artists like “Donna Summer”,” Electric Light Orchestra”, “Led Zeppelin”, “Queen” and “Elton John”. He was the founder of “Oasis Records” which later became “Casablanca Records”. - Dennis
