Wow, who knew checking my MySpace for the first time in eternity would make me so happy this afternoon! One of my favorite Neo-Soul singers, Amel Larrieux has new music coming soon! You can hear a snippet of the first single 'Orange Glow' on her MySpace. I like the sound of it, and trust me this girl never disappoints!
While we wait for the new music check out one of my favorite songs 'For Real' from the album 'Bravebird'
I honestly don't know one person that doesn't love this classic from 1989, 'Ride on Time' from Black Box! Something about the way she wails is just so appealing, I have been known to do the same while going crazy to this in a club! Looking at the Wikipedia it says this classic did not chart in the U.S, what a travesty! Do you Americans know it? If not just feign enthusiasm with the comments and stars! ;)

Do you all remember the game Space Invaders?? If you don't it was a game that provided hours of fun on the computer in the glorious 80's, at least for me! Anyway, that is the theme of the new Royksopp video for 'Happy Up Here.' Its a really cute video and I quite like the song, let's hope the album 'Junior' is just as good!

Here is a little Madonna for you on this lovely Sunday. These are the unreleased Peter Rauhofer mixes of 'Miles Away'. They are pretty decent, definitely an interesting take on the song, but I personally prefer the original track. In fact none of the remixes have even come close for me.

A lot of you probably became aware of Annie Lennox's SING campaign, last year with the release of the song 'Sing' that featured Madonna and lots of other well known females singers. Well the SING Campaign, which seeks to raise funds and awareness about the HIV pandemic in Africa, is still going strong. In 2009, they will be following the lives of four remarkable women, the video below serves as an introduction to them.

LYKKE LI is one of my favorite artists to emerge in the music scene last year. Her voice is beautiful, her songs are poetic and the imagery just completes the package! She's just released Tonight, a slow ballad with a very Sinéad O'Connor-esque video. The vocals were re-recorded, so you'll notice quite a difference from the Youth Novels album version.

Annie Lennox made an appearance on Good Morning America this week to promote The Annie Lennox Collection, her greatest hits that will hit stores in the USA on Tuesday. She performed an amazing acoustic version of the classic track'Walking on Broken Glass, the song was great, but not sure about that outfit Annie!

TOWA TEI gained his fame by being a member of the group Deee-Lite, who have been featured many times on Hard Candy. Tei has also worked with Kylie Minogue, collaborating on tracks 'Sometimes Samurai' and 'GBI: German Bold Italic'.

Twestival.fm's The Song That Never Was vocal experiment with IMOGEN HEAP has just kicked off! What is it you say? Well, Imogen is offering the vocal stems/parts of the track for fans/remixers to mix it, mash it or turn it into a brand new production!
A short time ago, Imogen Heap took a few days out from making her new album to write a track that was supposed to feature at the end of TV programme. She wrote the song and recorded all the vocals, leaving the music for the composer who was writing the rest of the score so she could get on with her much anticipated new album. For one reason or another the song wasn’t used and so the track never got completed. But their loss is Twestival’s gain as she’s excitedly donated the aforementioned vocals for ‘The Song That Never Was’ experiment.
Former iiO front woman NADIA ALI has just released a new solo single called Love Story. You can check out all the remixes that are available (Starkillers, Sultan & Ned Shepard and Andy Moor) via Beatport.

I would not quite say it was Sex version two as some are suggesting, but its very 'Justify My Love' in places. I really LOVE this photoshoot but my only complaint is that she is so airbrushed, she could have been just a shade more natural LOL

M.I.A is also performing on the Grammy's this weekend, on her due date no less! Should be a brilliant performance!
The super talented MIRWAIS is back with a new band, Y.A.S. featuring the lovely Yasmine Hamdan (I guess that's where they get the Y.A.S. from huh?) Anyway, if you caught the leak of the Madonna demo Keep The Trance, you'll notice that new single from Y.A.S. Get It Right sounds a lot like it! A trip to BBC's Radio 1 by BLOC PARTY recently resulted in an unlikely cover of Call The Shots by Girls Aloud. It's an interesting cover, and sounds nothing like the original. Worth a listen! The vocals make me squint in pain a bit, but I love the effort!

I absolutely can't believe the first time i'm posting about AMANDA GHOST, it's to announce that she's been named President of EPIC Records. The talent she has brought to the realm of pop music since releasing her first single Idol is enormous.
The multi-talented Ghost has also written songs for Beyonce, Jordan Sparks, James Blunt and Shakira!
