LITTLE BOOTS: Single Artwork for 'New In Town' + Fred Falke Remix!

LITTLE BOOTS just revealed the cover art for her newest single, New In Town. She's looking very sexy, I can't wait for the full length! Don't forget to visit her Myspace to hear more tracks! Now for something special...

Fred Falke is one of my favorite remixers as of late, he brings such style to each track he touches...this is no exception.

ANTIGONE: Promiscuity

I'm loving ANTIGONE's new single Promiscuity. You can preview the track and a remix (which sounds a lot like Goldfrapp!) below, as well as download two clips of each. What do you think of this single vs. More Man Than Man last year? I love them both!

MADONNA: I Am Because We Are YouTube and Hulu Premiere

Madonna has premiered her documentary about Malawi, 'I Am Because We Are' online on YouTube and Hulu. If you have not yet had the chance to see it I highly recommend you watch it, as it is a thoughtful documentary highlighting the plight of the children of Malawi, many of whom are suffering Aids, infections and malnutrition

Madonna has recorded an introduction to the documentary which you can see below. For more information you can visit the I Am Because We Are website.

THE KILLERS: Spaceman (Steve Aoki + Bloody Beetrots Remix)

The remixes for THE KILLERS current single Spaceman have been excellent, but one can only expect that from the band! Steve Aoki & The Bloody Beetrots have had their take...and I think it may be my new favorite!

Did you miss the Bimbo Jones mix?

ANNIE: Anthonio (Designer Drugs Remix)

It's ANNIE maddness this week as new single Anthonio gets remixed by Designer Drugs. We've featured their remixes often...

BLACK EYED PEAS: Boom Boom Pow

We haven't heard from the BLACK EYED PEAS for awhile! They have been busy recording THE E.N.D., their fifth studio album, available June 9th. The first single, Boom Boom Pow is available for preview below and is currently climbing the Top 40.

I think the song is a very poor effort compared to their past material, and there is nothing interesting in their new look...except for maybe a brunette Fergie.

Catch the band performing in Miami at the Ultra Music Festival (part of Winter Music Conference) on Friday, March 27th.

THE PRESETS: If I Know You (Video + Alt. Mix)

THE PRESETS are back with If I Know You, and I have to say I rather enjoy the Alt. Mix...which I have to share with you! If you haven't seen the video, you can below!

If I Know You (Alt. Mix)

KERI HILSON: Knock You Down (feat. Kanye West & Ne-Yo) (Extended Version)

What a hot collaboration! Kanye West and Ne-Yo join KERI HILSON in the video for her new single off debut album, In A Perfect World. It dropped today!

Knock You Down (Extended Version)

I'm still missing the vibe of Energy, I think she could have gone in a better direction for this album. It's still a great effort, check it out!

METRIC: Gimme Sympathy (Video Premiere) + Full 'Fantasies' Preview

Listen to the entire brand new METRIC album, Fantasies below! For those who pre-order will receive an immediate digital download of 3 tracks, including the album version of Help I'm Alive PLUS two exclusive pre-order tracks: a cover of Pink Floyd's Nobody Home and the acoustic version of Gimme Sympathy.

JACK PENATE: Tonight's Today (Extended Mix) + Video Premiere

I think JACK PENATE's retro vibe on single Tonight's Today is a delight and it's refreshing to hear a different style of music for a change! The single is released on XL Recordings March 30th. The extended mix of the track is pretty sick, check it out!

Tonight's Today (Extended Mix)

The official video was just released, let us know what you think below!

ANNIE: Anthonio

It's been awhile since i've had ANNIE news for you all! Her new record label, Pleasure Masters has just released this video teaser to announce the second single from Don't Stop which is set for a May release. Check out a preview of Anthonio!

COMMON FEAT ERYKAH BADU AND KANYE WEST: The Light

So excited that a decent video of this is up for me to post. On Sunday Common was joined on stage by Kanye West and Erykah Badu for this hot performance of 'The Light.' They killed it! I would have loved to see this live!

DEBBIE HARRY: Rapture

Debbie Harry
recently performed at the Carerra Vintage Sunglasses launch in NYC and did a performance of 'Rapture.' Check out the video, Debbie is looking great, she lost some weight and her face looks so fresh! Good work Debs!

ANNIE LENNOX: Europe One Concert

Annie Lennox did a concert for Europe One last night in France, where she sung acoustic versions of 'A Thousand Beautiful Things,' 'Pavement Cracks,' 'Cold' and 'Little Bird.' She also sung some of the Eurythmics classics, 'There Must Be An Angel,' 'Here Comes The Rain Again' and 'Sweet Dreams' I never tire of hearing her sing!

Watch it by clicking here

MADONNA: The Egg

As so often happens with me one video on YouTube leads to many, and I came across this one of Madonna which you may have seen if you've watched any of those MTV/VH1 documentaries about her. In 'The Egg' recorded in 1974, Madonna fries an egg on her stomach while sunbathing, for a high school friends project. It's just another cool wacky Madonna thing you fans might enjoy!

MADONNA: Get Up (Gotham Demo)

This morning I'm enjoying some pre-fame Madonna tracks, this one 'Get Up' is one of my favorites. It was recorded in 1981 along with 'Love On The Run,' 'Society's Boy,High Society and 'Take Me (I Want You) in a set that Madonna fans know as the 'Gotham Tapes.' Madonna does her best Debbie Harry impression on this one, the end reminds me of 'Rapture'.

You can hear the track and see some rare old Madonna pictures in the video below!

Rate with stars and comments and let me know if you want the other Gotham Demos posted!

JUNIOR CALDERA FEAT SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR: Just Can't Fight The Feeling

Here's another Sophie Ellis-Bextor track, seeing as you all liked the last one so much. 'Just Can't Fight The Feeling' leaked a few weeks ago, it's not as good as the Freemasons one, but I enjoy it nevertheless. I love her accent!

ROISIN MURPHY: Independent Interview and Keep It Loose

FREEMASONS FEAT SOPHIE ELLIS-BEXTOR: Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer

I don't know about all of you, but I've been hankering for some new stuff from Sophie Ellis-Bextor for the longest while! Well seeing as she just gave birth to her second child, we'll have to wait for her next album just a bit longer! In the meantime we have this glorious track 'Heartbreak Make Me A Dancer' that's been given the Freemasons treatment! What a fabulous collaboration!

Leela James: Let's Do It Again and It's a Man's Man's Man's World

Well out of the blue a few days ago we got a nice email letting us that the wonderful Leela James has a new album coming out on March 24th, called "Let's Do It Again." The album is the sophomore release for Leela and is a covers album, on which she takes on several soul classics. The first single is 'It's a Man's Man's Man's World' the James Brown classic.

We will be interviewing Leela for Hard Candy, so if you have any questions you'd like us to ask her leave us a comment!

LILY ALLEN: Not Fair Video Premiere

The video for Lily Allen's new single 'Not Fair' premiered today. What do you all think? I quite like the concept, and i enjoy the banjo player in the background (a sorely underused instrument in my opinion!) and of course I love the track!

MESSKID: In The Spotlight!!

Alright, so we have something special for you in this post!  We'd like to introduce you to MESSKID out of Brooklyn, New York.  MESSKID is a outstanding Remixer & DJ that has been doing some impressive mixes lately that you must check out!  His most recent is of the the track Syrup by the Three Six Mafia and this on it's own is a stand out mix!  We are also fortunate enough to share 2 additional mixes.  MESSKID has leant his talent to remix Ace Of Base and Lady Gaga too and they have ear catching beats and breath new life into the current Lady Gaga track and into the Ace Of Base retro classic!  Here are those tracks :)

All That She Wants (Skull&Bones Remix)

Here's a Mini Interview I had with MESSKID:

How long have you have you been DJing & Remixing?
Ever since I sold my soul........so 1 year.

Where are you from?  Have you lived in NY all your life?
Born in Riga, Latvia (eastern europe) moved to Detroit in 1992, moved to NYC in 2005.

Everyone has music guilty pleasures, what are some of yours?
Real McCoy

What was your motivation behind your latest pokerface remix?
To me the original didn't have the right mood/vibe. I wanted to create a new feeling for the song, I like making moody tracks, the kind that take u on an adventure and paint sort of a 3D picture of the song in your head, u feel me.

Who motivates and inspires you?
Anybody doing something weird or different. A lot of motivation comes from myself, cuz if you don't believe in yourself who will?

What would you like to say to all those MESSKID fans out there...
Roads? Where I'm going we don't need roads! messkid ;)

BLONDIE: Rip Her To Shreds (Live In LA '77) Flashback

I'm in an early Blondie mood today, and after YouTubing several fabulous clips of the early days I came across this brilliant live video of 'Rip Her To Shreds' from a concert in LA in 1977. I just love it, it is the embodiment of everything Blondie was to begin with - a rag tag downtown punk band. Just look at the energy, what I would give to have been one of those people up in the front! Looks like one guy is almost pulled on stage by Debbie!

FRANZ FERDINAND: No You Girls (Vince Clarke Remix)

Hot remix of No You Girls by Franz Ferdinand that we really enjoy!  This is the Vince Clarke Remix and you just got to love it, disliking it is not optional!  Take a listen :)

LILY ALLEN: The Fear (So You Think You Can Dance) and DJ Cat NYC Remix

I'm really loving the Lily Allen album 'It's Not Me, It's You' and 'The Fear' is one of my personal favorites from the album. She actually has some thought provoking lyrics on the album, I don't know whether the sentiments are believable coming from her, but that is a whole different debate! Anyway here is a performance of The Fear from Australia's So You Think You Can Dance...

JULIETTE AND THE NEW ROMANTIQUES: Terra Incognita

You may remember a few months ago that we told you Julitte Lewis had formed a new band, Juliette and the New Romantiques, well it turns out their album 'Terra Incognita' is now complete! You can hear some of the tracks on their new MySpace. There is also a great blog there that tells us all about the album and how the band came to be formed. Here is a part of that...

"Lewis wrote most of the 11 tracks that would become the New Romantiques' debut album, Terra Incognita (coming soon), with her friend, guitarist Chris Watson, over the past year. She and Rodriguez-Lopez recorded for three weeks at his Brooklyn and Guadalajara studios in late 2008, with a very specific cast of musicians Rodriguez-Lopez thought best suited the project; Rich Costey (Nine Inch Nails, Muse) mixed the LP at New York's famed Electric Lady Studios. The result is a stunning album of epic sonic scope and complex emotional journeys that Lewis says "is my version of whatever soul is." On this record, "I let the haunted woman come through – the tormented blues soul singer – as well as my full-throttle rock voice."
