VIVIAN GIRLS: He’s Gone (The Chantels Cover)

1x1.trans VIVIAN GIRLS: Hes Gone (The Chantels Cover)

With a name that must have been inspired by reclusive child-obsessed artist by night/custodian by day Henry Darger, the Vivian Girls demand to be noticed.  Channeling a retro girl-group sound with a slightly off key tone that works so well, the trio received wide acclaim for their first two albums.  Check out a cover of He’s Gone originally by The Chantels.

Just because i’m serious about my research, I dug up the original version.  I must say, those girls sing their hearts out. The Chantels were one of the first ever girl-groups.

I’m enjoying the Vivian Girls merch, these t-shirts are only $12 each. I just ordered mine! Can’t decide which design I love more.Matt
