KYLIE MINOGUE: Previews New Tracks From Aphrodite at Surprise Apperance at Splash

A couple of days ago a rumor that Kylie would be making a surprise appearance at Splash in NYC started doing the rounds, when I got the confirmation that it was indeed true, I railed the boys and we headed down nice and early to secure our front row spots! They said it would be 1am and like clockwork right at 1 there she was, first appearing up in the DJ booth and sending everyone into a frenzy.  Shortly after dancer boys in tight white underwear (some with bare bums lol) took the stage, quickly followed by Kylie  looking every bit the gorgeous diva in a fabulous silver dress and amazing shoes!

Of course my friends and I had made it our business to catch Kylie at the Hammerstein Ballroom last year, which was incredible and we all had nice second row spots then, but this was Kylie in a small club on a tiny stage within hand grabbing distance! – Needless to say as she burst into All The Lovers we lost our minds! (for a song that has only been out a few weeks there was a lot of love for it!)

I had not asked any details about what she would be doing when I confirmed she’d be at Splash, the simple fact that she would be there was good enough reason to head down, so when after finishing All The Lovers she announced she was to do a mini mix of tracks from the upcoming album Aphrodite (for the first time ever no less) I nearly collapsed! ( the heat and the bodies crushed up against me probably aided that feeling)

She previewed several of the new tracks, starting with Get Outta My Way – which I am obsessed with already. Upon hearing this my first thought was ” Wow, she’s topped X!” (One of my favorite albums). This was my favorite of all the tracks she previewed. She also did parts of Aphrodite, Cupid Boy, Put Your Hands Up, Can’t Beat The Feeling and Too Much. It pretty much sounds like every song on this album is gonna be bloody fantastic!

One of my favorite parts of the night was when she asked for Water (It was INSANELY hot in there) drank some, sprayed some at us and the poured it on herself and threw the bottle – soo hot! LOL) (Check the video) that along with the hand grabbing and when we started mock bowing and she did it back LOL

I had to cut the last 20 secs of the video for YouTube but she say :I hope to see you all again very very soon!” and I’m certain she’ll be back she has taste for the U.S. now it seems – woohoo!
