HardCandyMusic.com Interviews The Cassette Kids + CMJ Dates

I have been enjoying the Cassette Kids debut album Nothing On TV for many months now. It is a delightful slice of danceable electro pop, with a rockish flavor (as I mention in my live review ,this element really comes through when you see these guys play live!) The band have recently moved to Brooklyn all the way from Australia, and we caught up with them over at Sony a few weeks ago.

In our interview, the band discuss their history playing live in Australia, opening for acts like Lily Allen and The Presets, working on their debut album and how their sound has changed over the years. They also share some details of the new music they are working on for their follow up album and much more! This group is one of the nicest we’ve ever interviewed we had such a great time with them so we are excited to finally share the interview with you.

Cassette Kids will be tearing it up all over New York this week playing CMJ dates, so if you are around, you must go and check out a show. They are one of Hard Candy’s must see acts in for this years event, and we’ll definitely be in attendance for at least one show!
