All this talk of Hurricane Irene that is heading for the East Coast this weekend, gives us a fabulous excuse to revisit one of my favorite tracks by the legendary Grace Jones, the epic Hurricane! Accredited online

While searching the internet for something new to share with you, I turned up this rather nice remix by Paul Heron and Alan X that surfaced a few months ago.
To wrap up this Hurricane love letter, I’ll leave you with this video of Grace performing the track in New York in 2009. I was at the show and it was the first time I had seen Grace live. It’s difficult to put into words the intensity of this performance and the energy that radiated through the room as she stomped around on stage with the wind whirling around her blowing out her vast cape. You must see her live if you ever get the chance!
