MP3: MIA announces ‘Bad Girls’ single + video release dates

Romain Gavras directed video set for release Feb 3rd

Bad gal M.I.A. dropped the free-tastic ViCKi LEEKX mix tape last year which included an early version of forthcoming single Bad Girls. Recorded in Miami and produced by Danja, I’m hoping the new single version set for release on Jan 31st will be a bit more infectious and genre-bending like her earlier material. Make sure to grab the Maya and Kala albums if you don’t have them already. The single artwork (pictured above) doesn’t stray too far from the ugly web 1.0 clips she’s been using for over a year now and it’s time for something new!

M.I.A. is featured on Madonna‘s upcoming single Gimme All Your Luvin’ and will most likely perform at the Superbowl along with Nicki Minaj! The video for Bad Girls is directed by Romain Gavras who previously worked on Born Free and is will be available on Feb 3rd.
