After going strong for 7 months Madonna‘s amazing MDNA tour finally ends tonight in Cordoba, Argentina and I feel inspired to write a short farewell. I have seen her live many times, but the shows I caught in NYC and Miami were some of the best experiences I’ve ever had. I didn’t have the opportunity to be in the pit at the Reinvention Tour in 2004, so been given several Golden Triangle tickets was a dream come true, it really adds a whole new dimension when you’re literally surrounded by the stage!
M and her dancers put on a truly phenomenal show and she once again pushed the limits of what a live concert can be. As I mentioned in my review from the Yankee Stadium show (which you can read here) the theatrics were above and beyond anything I have ever seen at a concert and it really brought the MDNA album alive. The love she gave to some of her biggest fans who she ensured were able to get into the triangle was unparalleled and quite frankly just mind-blowing.
As we close the book on the fabulous MDNA era, rumor has it that the tour DVD, which was filmed in Miami, is set to be released in March, so until then we’ll have to make do with our memories and YouTube videos. Someone did quite a good job with this edit of the full show and I hope it will help tide you over until we get the DVD!
p.s. she is apparently already working on new music, and we’ll of course keep you updated!
