This is seriously one of the best dub remixes of any Pet Shop Boys track I’ve ever heard. Jean Claude‘s take on the classic “Love Come Quickly” lifts just the “Uhuhuhuhu” vocals from the original and adds a superb bassline. It’s an impossibly good take on the tune, perfect for a sunny day!
Rod Stewart‘s “Da Ya Think I’m Sexy” is one of those songs you’d be hard pressed to find most people admitting they enjoy, but it’s on my list of guilty pleasures!
My eye’s lit up when I saw Zimmer had given it a rework. He’s kept the vibe of the original but added some layers that give it a modern twist, the results are simply divine!
LNTG continues to impress the hell out of us with his productions, the latest being one that lifts Janet Jackson’s ‘All Nite (Don’t Stop)’ vocals. We think you’ll agree that it’s expertly done, and breathes new life into one of the best songs on the ‘Damita Jo’ album!
San Francisco-based Giraffage offers up his take on Janet Jackson‘s ‘Someone To Call My Lover’ taken from the ‘All For You‘ album. It’s an expertly crafted mix which gives the original a complete rework and is perfect for kicking off the weekend with!
It seems like there are a whole bunch of producers out there loving Janet Jackson‘s ‘Rock With You.‘ Last month we posted a rework by Ghosts of Venice, now we’ve got one by Amsterdam-based FS Green to share! He takes things down a notch and provides a super sultry rework that is sure to make a few panties drop!
This is the second rework of Madonna‘s ‘Lucky Star’ that we’re bringing you in a matter of weeks, I swear we’re not hunting for them! Hot on the heels of the Classixx mix, comes Moustache Machine‘s take on the original. It’s loaded with sparkling synths and has an Italo Disco flavor, we’re loving it! Bring back the 80s!
If i listened to myself, i’d remix all of Madonna’s early work.
But i’m not a robot, so here is my take on one of my all-time favourites, Lucky Star.
Which do you like better? The Classixx mix or this one?
There’s no denying that Janet Jackson has a killer back catalog, and one of my favorites is the 1993 hit ‘If.‘ This evening on a hunt for new remixes to add to my collection, I came across the Kaytranda remix of the classic. This talented Montreal-based guy has given it a total rework, incorporating lots of new elements and resulting in a banging makeover which is an absolute delight!
I couldn’t leave you without the flawless video for the original…..
Just discovered Swedish producer Oliver Nelson‘s rework of Whitney Houston classic (and one of my personal favorites) ‘How Will I Know.’ His nu-disco remix sounds like it could have appeared on the original maxi single. Listen below.
After you’re done listening, feast your eyes on this. Continue reading
LA duo Classixx have put a smile on my face this morning with their rework of Madonna‘s ‘Lucky Star.‘ I’ve played M’s back catalog so much that it’s always nice to hear a fresh take on one of her classics. I hope you enjoy this as much as I do.
The internet has been ablaze with Bowie mania since he came back out of the blue with his new single ‘Where Are They Now?’ and news of a new album dropping in March. This morning I stumbled across an excellent new edit of ‘Golden Years‘ by Tim Fuchs. He’s handled the classic in the best possible manner, enjoy!
