To celebrate a very slow (hopefully) end to the warm Summer season, we’ve got a fantastic giveaway opportunity for you!
It’s hard to believe it’s been years since Miami Horror‘s debut album Illumination. Fast forward to 2013, and their new track “Real Slow” has us taken back to those sunny days at the beach. It feels like they’ve never left.
The production on “Real Slow” is ace, with glistening piano stabs and a thumping bass backed beat. Listen below.
A word from producer Benjamin Plant on the meaning of “Real Slow.”
“…It’s about finding that place or person were you feel secure enough to take things slowly. We wanted to write a song that is more than just a concept, we wanted to write about something we were actually experiencing rather than something imagined. We wanted to see how that emotion translated into our music. I’ve never been a huge fan of listening to songs about love, no matter how painful or joyous they are, they can seem mediocre, but once you have those experiences for yourself then suddenly, all those songs make sense and become something you can really feel.”
Their second album is set for release in Spring 2014.
It’s nice to see another female rapper in the mainstream pop genre besides for Nicki Minaj, isn’t it? Iggy Azalea recruits T.I. for her latest single, “Change Your Life.” Watch the official video below, which we enjoyed very much. This tune is cat-chy!
It’s hard to believe Frankmusik is about to release his fourth studio effort, it feels like we were just discovering him with Complete Me singles “Better Off As 2″ or “3 Little Words.”
Fast forward from ’09 to ’13 and he’s gone the acoustic route, stripping down songs from stunner Between, released earlier this year. Stream the entire set below!
Kitten deliver quite the infectious throwback pop tune “Like A Stranger.” We’re loving their new EP, check it out on iTunes now. Highly recommended!
