Finally we have the new video for Solider Of Love by Sade! its been 9 long years and worth the wait! The video premiered at midnight on Amazon and here it is in all its glory. Sade looks gorgeous and clearly NEVER ages. This video reminds me of the imagery Grace Jones used for Hurricane on tour and in photo shoot. It’s dark and stormy just how we like it!
Watch the video here and relive Sade’s finest moments below!
A mash-up of Madonna‘s beautiful track Miles Away with Lady Gaga + Beyonce‘s played everywhere Telephone landed in our inbox today. I was skeptical but it’s absolutely worth the listen – if not just for the artwork created above which features a shot of Madonna by Steven Klein used during the Re-Invention Tour. The masher used the instrumental of Telephone and played around a lot with the vocals of Miles Away. Not just slapped together, this one rocks. It reminds me of how Stuart Price mixes with the manipulation of vocals. Love love. Check it out! – Matt
Goldfrapp has shared the upcoming album cover for Head First, it looks absolutely beautiful but visually seems to debunk the viral campaign of videos that has been confusing fans and press alike this past week. Check them out here. Does that mean the tree-licker is Xtina? Mysteries abound! – Matt
Well I’ve played Roisin Murphy‘s Momma’s Place far more than any song in recent memory – I just can’t get enough! Tonight we and a few others got a little exclusive treat from Roisin to share with you. Check out this video of her explaining the meaning of her new single. She explains how the song is a letter to her, at that point unborn child, basically “Dont try and pull one over on me, I’ve been as naughty as you!” I bet Roisin was indeed a real rascal in her day!
Momma’s Place will be available via AWAL under the label name Mickey Murphy’s Daughter on January 18th in the U.K.and January 19th in the US. Can’t wait to buy it and check the remixes! I am so thirsty for more aren’t you all! – Camille
These short video clips are circling the net and upon closer inspection and about 1,000 plays, I am pretty sure this is a tease from Goldfrapp. Could this be the video for Rocket, the first single due in March? Check out the limbs as tree branches and that little owl that pops up towards the end of the second clip, plus those eyes look like the Black Cherry single cover, and I can hear some ethereal vocals shining through just a bit. I can hear it, it’s her!?
If you take a look at their official website, the photo below looks like someones been getting a bit muddy. Watch her lick that tree like it’s nobody’s business! I wont review too much until this is confirmed, but it was a must share! – Matt
