A few weeks in and LADY GAGA‘s FAME MONSTER really has my definite seal of approval as we move away from the afterglow of the listening party. It’s fantastic start to finish – that NEVER happens that I love all the songs on an album (I was originally ambivalent about a few like SO HAPPY I COULD DIE and SPEECHLESS, but I find myself loving them more as time goes on – I think the out of control performance at the AMA’s got me sold on SPEECHLESS, which is now one of my favorites haha)
Anyhow, if you’re anything like me and you are just devouring anything FAME MONSTER related you better download these mixes before you overplay the originals! The originals rock but these mixes also sock it to ya! Trust me! – Camille
Also check Gaga’s interview on Ellen from last week if you haven’t seen it
I guess ERYKAH BADU finally plucked up the courage to sing STAY at the Soul Train Awards then! She was part of a tribute to the legendary CHAKA KHAN and gave a fabulous little rendition of the track. I have loved this song since I first encountered it on Erykah’s LIVE album ( Yeah, yeah I know – Chaka did it first) I could play this soulful jam all day long – both versions!
Also part of the tribute was FANTASIA who did TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD , LEDISIwho did THROUGH THE FIRE andANGIE STONE who tore it up with AIN’T NOBODY and chased down Chaka to sing with her at the end! – Camille
For a good laugh check out Angie and Chaka on the red carpet pre show!

If I would say the French can’t sing, I would not be alone on this opinion. Agree with me or not: they suck balls. I love this QUENTIN MOSIMANN, first off he is cute, second off he brings electro synth to street house. If anyone remembers the days when amateur DJ’s’ from around NYC opened for the gods of dance such as Victor Calderone, Junior Vasquez Danny Tenaglia and many others, all these little punk DJ used their garage bands to maximum capabilities, afflicting dance madness on a club crazed populace. When I watched the video below, the electro version of CHERCHEZ LE GARCON, I felt like taking off my shirt and bouncing thru a dark full room of bodies. Who can ask for more dance glory with a GAGA-esque tilt! Fierceness-Uncut-Trust. Thanks Electroqueer! - JAKE
While we patiently (or not so patiently in my case) wait for new LYKKE LI material, she has posted a haunting cover of WILL YOU STILL LOVE ME TOMORROW originally by the SHIRELLES on her site along with a little video. Check it out! – Camille
