ERYKAH BADU: Stay Chaka Khan Tribute (Soul Train Awards)

I guess ERYKAH BADU finally plucked up the courage to sing STAY at the Soul Train Awards then! She was part of a tribute to the legendary CHAKA KHAN and gave a fabulous little rendition of the track. I have loved this song since I first encountered it on Erykah’s LIVE album ( Yeah, yeah I know – Chaka did it first) I could play this soulful jam all day long – both versions!

Also part of the tribute was FANTASIA who did TELL ME SOMETHING GOOD , LEDISI who did THROUGH THE FIRE and ANGIE STONE who tore it up with AIN’T NOBODY and chased down Chaka to sing with her at the end! – Camille
