Last year, at this time our excitement was at a fever pitch as we waited with bated breath for Madonna’s performance at the Super Bowl Half Time show. This year, we eagerly anticipate Beyonce‘s performance at tomorrow’s Super Bowl, I think she’s gonna do a tremendous job.
While we wait to see what she’s got up her sleeve, it’s time for us to take a look back at some of the best performances at the Super Bowl Halftime show over the years…..
‘Love Hangover’ is one of my favorite Diana Ross tunes, so whenever I see a remix my curiosity is instantly piqued. I’ve just stumbled across this rather lovely one by Rochenoire. He keeps the glorious seductive vocal at the forefront but injects the classic track with a healthy dose of sexy synths, quite the revamp!
It’s time for another new take on a classic from Diana Ross‘ 1980 album Diana album. A few weeks ago we brought you the LNTG edit of Upside Down (grab it here), now we have one comes courtesy of Eliot who has provided an excellent reedit of Now That You’re Gone.
Are you feeling this edit? Let us know in the comments or on Facebook/ Twitter
Diana Ross‘ 1980 album Diana, produced by the amazing Nile Rodgers, is a phenomenal album and has a well deserved spot in my top ten albums of all time.
This morning, I stumbled on an edit of Upside Down, one of my favorite tracks, masterfully created by Late Night Tuff Guy. It’s a remarkable edit that really manages to do justice to the flawless original.
JANELLE MONAE hasn’t gotten nearly the attention she deserves. Janelle brings a unique style to her sound and look. She’s just recorded COME ALIVE (THE WAR OF ROSES) for the Kia Soul Collective (I wonder if they gave her a car?) Love the wailing, reminds me of that raw party feel of the B-52′s.
