Glass Candy unveil ‘Beautiful Object’ video

If you asked us for an artist who we thought represented the Hard Candy vibe, we’d have to put Glass Candy high up on the list. Producer Mike Simonetti has an uncanny knack for creating a catchy, pop tune while infusing his unique blend of gritty disco and sexy beats. Their latest video, for last years jam “Beautiful Object” - directed by (as always) Alberto Rossini is available to view below.

Glass Candy: Warm In The Winter & Beautiful Object

Glass Candy make a triumphant return to the scene with new jam Warm In The Winter and the accompanying b-side Beautiful Object, just released on the super cool and brilliantly named Italians Do It Better label.

Warm in the Winter is a glorious extended number, clocking in at over 7 minutes. After the Where The Streets Have No Name esque intro, Ida’s smooth vocals come in and I start the transition to a trance like state!

No-one does Italo-Disco better than these guys!

THE LONG BLONDES: Nostalgia (Glass Candy Mix)

If you’ve been hankerin’ for something new from Glass Candy, look no further! They’ve worked their remix magic on THE LONG BLONDES track Nostalgia. It’s a slow burner, keeping with Glass Candy’s signature italo-synth sound!

Nostalgia (Glass Candy Mix)

Thanks to Aston Martin for posting this today before us! You can also head on over to Missingtoof for a lot more information about this track, including Glass Candy’s original version!

So Glass Candy, perhaps old news to some, but definitely worth a mention anyway. Their album Beatbox is amazing. They have been described as Neo-Disco. It’s such a nice mellow album it makes you wanna take a nice long evening drive in a convertible with the top down :)

This is the video for Digtial Versicolor. The way it’s shot reminds me of the movie ‘Downtown 81′ I love it!

They have a new song on their MySpace and are always posting demos so check them out!
