MOLOKO: Cannot Contain This (Gus Gus Remix) Flashback

A few weeks ago I heard this gorgeous remix at the fabulous Roisin Murphy Blog (the ultimate source for all Roisin news.) Cannot Contain This is one of my favorite Moloko tracks and this rare Gus Gus remix also really floats my boat. Wasn’t Statues just an incredible album start to end? Take a trip back in time with this and watch performance videos below! In the bottom one she sings a few lines from Prince’s I Feel For You – amaze!

MOLOKO: Acoustic Tracks

You guys are gonna love these! On a whim I downloaded four acoustic MOLOKO tracks – Familiar Feeling, Forever More, Sing It Back and The Time is Now – from the wonderful Roisin Media blog.

Familiar Feeling is the stand out track for me, it is mixed with ‘I keep Forgettin’ (Every Time You’re Near) the result is a stroke of genius! The others are all great acoustic takes on classic songs, I love the guitars on them.

KIDBASS:Goodgirls Love Rudeboys (Feat Sincere)

Any track that samples Roisin Murphy‘s vocals from the classic Moloko track ‘The Time Is Now‘ is aces in my book! This is ‘Goodgirls Love Rudeboys‘ from new North London rapper Kidbass. Call me crazy but I like it!

MOLOKO: Forever More (Camille’s Sunday Flashback)

Well you can never have enough Roisin, right? This track is taken from the last Moloko album ‘Statues’ that came out in 2003. Like me, she is still rather fond of this one and often performs it at her shows. (Good Taste Ro!)
