2013 marks the return of Yelle! ‘L’Amour Parfait’ is produced by GrandMarnier and Aeroplane - it’s très fantastique! A straight up 80′s dark electro pop slammer with bangin’ remixes to boot andan equally fantastique single cover, doves and all.
‘L’Amour Parfait’ is set for release on February 11th, with remixes by Sticky K, The Phantom, Baadman and Ruben Mandolini. We can assure you it’s well worth the wait.
I think Girls Aloud said it best when they said “I can’t speak French so I let the funky music do the talking” (see here). I’m not entirely sure what Yelle is singing about in Comme Un Enfant but I still love the track and a fancy new video has just premiered!
She’s totally giving me Martina of Dragonette style vibes in this one! Love the dancing and the gorgeous set, so much pink!
The YELLE DJs have just dropped their tasty Autumn Mix on us. Over the course of 23 minutes GrandMarnier & Julien Tine manage to work in quite a few tracks that we’re feeling at the moment.
They get things off to a flying start with the Penguin Prison‘s remix of Lana Del Rey’s Blue Jeans, add in some Azari & III, and a great little remix of Yelle‘s Comme Un Enfant by Dactylo along the way. Enjoy!
Yelleis getting ready to unleash her latest album Safari Disco Club on the U.S. this coming Tuesday, and we are loving what we have heard of it so far! Even though my French leaves a lot to be desired, there is no denying the danceability of this cut Que veux-tu which has been getting a lot plays over here. I’ve also been enjoying the funky Madeon remix of the track which you can hear below.
Check the lovely lady and her pals dancing in the video for this new edit of the video for the track. She makes head to toe leopard print look good! Love it! – Camille
French electro duo BeatauCue first caught my attention with their stellar mix of Get Outta My Way by Kylie Minogue. Now they have floored me again with this impeccable mix of Safari Disco Club by fellow Frenchie Yelle!
They have completely invigorated the percussion based original adding plenty of energy. As is customary with BeatauCue mixes, they start things off slow then pick up the pace with exploding synths andbeats. This dramatic mix has me wanting to dance like a wild woman and head on down to join the animals at the Safari Disco Club! – Camille
